What are you doing for Halloween this year? Taking the children trick-or-treating? Dressing up in costumes? Bobbing for apples? Whatever Halloween custom you choose to practice, give it some serious consideration before you put yourself—and those you love—in jeopardy.
Halloween is in no way at all as safe and enjoyable a holiday as many make it seem. In fact, Halloween is not a holiday at all, but an amalgamation of rituals and cult practices that should be avoided, especially if you are an active daddy.
Debunking websites exist everywhere to discredit opposition to Halloween, and that’s to be expected. Do the research yourself, though, and come to an informed conclusion. Determine for yourself, based on the research, if your children should:
- Dress up in Halloween costumes
- Go trick-or-treating
- Go bobbing for apples
I found a lengthy, but interesting article online that has a lot to say about Halloween and its practices. Click here to read it. And, be careful out there. Both you and the children.
Take care, and influence someone for good today :D
