A Dog at My Door?!?

We had an unpleasant surprise this morning! A large, wounded dog was camping out by our back door. No one knows where it came from, but it was certainly there.

It was a beautiful, muscular dog, but it had taken a beating. Its face, knees, elbows, foot, and groin had been damaged, and its left back leg was probably broken.

No one knows if it was in a fight or hit by a car, but it was in pretty bad shape nonetheless. The proper authorities finally came and got him, so let’s hope he is on his way to recovery.

Here is a picture of the dog. Pretty big thing to find unexpected at your door, huh?

Getting Ready to Lay the Tiles

I have been updating Twitter with my happenings and got a very good recommendation from Home Depot, one of the accounts that I follow. They suggested Simple Mat.

SimpleMat is designed to simplify the tile installation process. No need for thin set! You just stick it on the clean, dry surface, affix tiles, then grout. I haven’t used it before, but will give it a try. I’ll let you know how it works out, of course!

Utter Confusion

Op/Ed
This individual is utterly confused. It’s a sad thing, too, because the answers are pretty obvious to many of life’s questions: Mac or Windows? One lump or two? Michael or Prince? Male or female?

According to the NY Daily News, Norrie May-Welby, of Australia, was born male. Later, he opted to go under the knife to become a woman. Now, he has decided to be neutered. The reason is that he doesn’t find any sex classification suitable for himself.

I understand it all based on the good ol’ Bible. Right there in Genesis 1:27. It says “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” There are no hybrid creations, irrespective of what our past and/or worldview encourage us to believe.

Be prepared, fathers. You will be confronted with these issues as your children grow and mature. Model appropriate behaviors for them so that they know exactly what they should be doing. Be an exemplary husband and father so they understand what a man should be and do.
